Young at Art is a constellation of sparkling youth-powered creative hubs across Tāmaki Makaurau, encouraging our emerging stars to shine and celebrate their creative identities.
Part of the 2021 Summernova Festival, Young at Art provides rich opportunities for Auckland's young creatives to showcase their talents to their communities, through creative towers and live performances at each hub.
YOUNG AT ART South Hub takes place Sunday 18th April 10am - 1pm at Naomi & Bill Kirk Park, Māngere Bridge.
Watch talented local performers take the stage and take home a piece of personalised art or poetry crafted for you by our young creatives. View the performance line-up & watch the interview with Christian Turner talking about his own creative journey below. Before Sunday you can also check out the Young at Art South creative tower currently in Naomi and Bill Kirk Park, Māngere Bridge featuring artwork, poetry, and other creative works from local youth.
Support your local young creatives - see you a Young at Art!
Presented by Youth Arts New Zealand, Young Art Art consists of a central hub and satellite hubs in each area of Auckland (Nth, Sth, W/E). The hubs showcase the unique identities of each region, told through the perspectives of local youth art, music, designs and poetry. Those involved in the satellites also have the opportunity to then be involved in the central hub event which is a great opportunity for local youth for the exposure. Visit Youth Arts New Zealand to learn more and to join in.
