Foa’i | Give
19 April - 21 May
Mangere Arts Centre
Foa’i | Give is an exhibition of stop-motion animation. The short films feature charming illustrations which move and flicker. They celebrate a culture of generosity in south Auckland, through Samoan language and culture. The films are hand-illustrated, shot, and directed by Māngere artist Elisabeth Kumaran.
Check out the link to find out more about Elisabeth via Tautai 'Faleship' residency she completed last year. https://tautai.org/fale-ship-elisabeth-kumaran/
