WHAT’S ON

February Dreaming: A Southside Hangout

February Dreaming: A Southside Hangout is for creatives with big dreams!

It takes guts, networks, resource and know-how to manifest a creative dream project; the journey can be filled with challenges and curveballs, but the rewards for bringing your creative vision to life can be amazing.

Get inspired, hear tips and join the conversation with locals artists, movers, makers and shakers discussing creative self belief, taking the plunge and making moves, and strategising your master plan.

This summertime hangout is for anyone with ideas and creative dreams: come and chillax in the Māngere Arts Centre Courtyard, be brave and speak your ideas into reality, or just listen and get inspired - no pressure! Tap into the South Auckland creative matrix, meet new people and get the ball rolling!

Funding from Māngere Ōtāhuhu Arts has helped heaps of creatives manifest their creative ideas, from exhibitions to dance workshops, textile and sound projects to researching entrepreneurship, engaging young people and profiling inspiring leaders in our communities. The next funding round is in June, but now is the time to start thinking and planning, gathering inspiration and getting the team together.
