KRUMP KLUB with Ken Vaega & Ennaolla Paea
Krump Klub is a weekly 1.5hr dance program where students will be taught, guided, and equipped with the knowledge of self expression through KRUMP. They will go through sessions that will test their creativity through movement as well as being equipped with foundational movements in the style itself. They will have the opportunity to be involved in the BEATDOWN event held during summer 2021 at Mangere Arts Centre.
Weekly Klubs will focus on:
- Well-being of dancers. Well-being is incorporated into the culture of Krump Klubs and has priority in the foundation of how we run the klub (positive and safe environment to learn dance, learn leadership skills, gain life tools and values including our Acronym:
Kindness, Laughter, Unity, Bravery)
- Education of Dance History, technical movement, creative expression and tools to confidently perform in public.
- Family Focus: Once our Klubs are established with committed members, we invite families into the support network for the dancers. Our aim is to knit together a community around the dancers so we grow together.
