SIVA AFI FESTIVAL - Marketing & Promotion Mentorship 2021.
This year Mangere Otahuhu Arts introduced a mentoring opportunity alongside the 2021 Siva Afi Festival, as a way to both support the festival and support the growth of the creative industry.
Prior to the festival, the mentor will be working alongside the SAF Producer, to (1) Create live connection to various post-SAF events (2) update Stake Holders on SAF information (3) assist with ZOOM events (4) Production Week duties (5) Assisting the SAF Producer in completing all necessary “Reports” at the completion of the festival. All while working in a flexible environment and being able to juggle multiple tasks concurrently.
2021 Mentee - Azaria Ieriko
With work experience skills gained from roles within the hospitality industry, Ministry of Health and the Defence Force and an impressive line-up of dance memberships, tours and achievements (see below) - we’re thrilled to have Azaria Ieriko of Mangere as the 2021 Mentee.
“Although youthful in age, my cultural upbringing and life experience so far have taught me that service is the pathway to leadership. My great appreciation for determination, hard work, excellence in everything I do and overcoming challenges have enabled me to not only push myself in growing and becoming a better person, but also in encouraging others to do the same. Identifying as a young Samoan woman, born and raised here in Aotearoa has taught me to value and respect the uniqueness and diversity in others. My energy, enthusiasm, positive outlook on life and bubbly personality would be an asset to any role or team I am blessed to be part of.”
