Art Boot is a celebration of local art and artists.
Art Boot selects 6-7 local artists and presents them to their community in the vibrant and friendly atmosphere of a market. Each artist creates an artwork to be part of a collectable special edition series which they sell alongside studio treasures and smaller artworks, at an affordable price point out of the boot of their car.
Art Boot is bought to you by Art Ache, famous for creating low-key, fun and accessible environments which connect artists directly to the wider public, making art accessible to everyone. Art Ache is set up to nurture the development of creative talent through mentorship, promotion and event activation, offering artists an opportunity to promote themselves and sell their art.
Art Boot treats each artist involved with a cohesive marketing and PR campaign prior to the event. Sharing information to the well-established Art Ache audience, as well as the general public and local community, who may not know much about art and artists in their area. Promoting artists in connection with their community really showcases the unique flavour of each district and makes for an interesting narrative around contemporary art and culture in Aotearoa.
