“A workshop is not only about what you are creating, but also teaching you to be brave and build a sense of achieving or accomplishing something you would not do this courage will filter in other areas of your life and the way you look at things that look difficult when really, they are not.
The workshops F’amele has created vary from jewellery making, vision boards, sculptural work and crafts. All share the key outcomes of celebrating art creativity, spread the love of making and igniting people’s creative genius.
Fa’amele is a Contemporary Samoan Artist, her passion stems from her formative nature as a painter and maker. Contemporary Jewellery offers a medium to capture and archive memories through objects.
2018 Fa’amele graduated with a Bachelor in Creative Arts, Advanced NZ diploma in Jewellery at Manukau Institute of Technology. Fa’amele then went on to complete her Masters in Applied Indigenous knowledge in 2023 at Te Wananga O Aotearoa. Since graduating Fa’amele’s artistic exploration and singular approach to making has been recognised through exhibitions, residencies, and acquisition into public collections in 2022 Pacific Collection in the Auckland Museum.
