NUKU Live, Saturday 27th July at Makaurau Marae

Following a launch event in January that exceeded capacity, and an online audience that grows exponentially each week, NUKU. hosts its first women's winter wananga reaching into the community with stories, culture, craft and indigenous knowledge to reset, reflect and reconnect during this transitional season (following Matariki).

The programme is packed with speakers and a panel session, workshops around raranga, rongoā Māori, pareu and hula, and an introduction to the maramataka. PLUS goody bags and, of course, KAI!

NUKU Live is taking place at Makaurau Marae in the culturally and historically rich papakainga of Ihumātao. Aligned to the maramataka, the date of Saturday 27 July (on this side of the harbour) is the day of Orongonui, a surging energy day, a good day to wananga and to plant things you want to come into fruition. It falls into a period of abundance, while also being a give back day - to ourselves, our communities, our taiao (environment).

Check out the webpage for more information: www.NUKUwomen.co.nz/nuku-live Follow the Facebook Event: NUKU Live.

Get your tickets today and come along to share, celebrate and bask in the collective wisdom of indigenous women. Tickets are $65 (+ processing fee)

NUKU Live is part of Elemental AKL, a new region-wide festival illuminating Tamaki Makaurau through winter.
