Learn Māori through Mandarin/Sāmoan!
Learn Māori through Mandarin/Sāmoan!
Project Pepeha is a free kaupapa/programme as part of Whānui at Auckland Arts Festival. The kaupapa hopes to help more New Zealanders gain access to te reo Māori by providing an introduction to the language through participants’ native mother tongue. There are two language strands this will be taught in, Mandarin and Sāmoan.
Pepeha is an introduction to who you are and where you come from.
Over five weeks, participants will meet once a week to learn more about te reo Māori, and how they can construct their own pepeha, with a public presentation open to all on Saturday 9 March.
Invite your friends, parents, grandparents, and networks to participate!
