INVITATION TO BE A GUEST PERFORMER / NZMA Otahuhu Music, Food & Arts Festival, 14 July, 10am-2pm

I am honoured to welcome guest performers for the NZMA Otahuhu Campus Music, Food & Arts Festival. Our event is to be held on the 14th of July from 10am to 2pm at NZMA in Otahuhu, South Auckland.

There will be a ‘My Kitchen Rules’ style street food competition, live music and performances by local schools and community groups, as well as different cultural arts demonstrations. Our students will get a chance to show off the skills they have learnt/are learning during their time with us. We are overwhelmed by the impact you have all had in the lives of everyone both young and old and believe that your performances will set the tone perfectly for our event.

We would welcome any interested artists looking to perform or hold cultural art demonstrations at our festival – we are open to singers, dancers, bands etc!  A 15 minute performance would be absolutely perfect. We expect an attendance of over a few hundred students, their friends and whanau.

Due to the festival being a way of a charity event, we might not be able to pay or cater for your expenses for performing at this event but would be open to a negotiation. However, we would be delighted to have you as one of our VIP guests with complimentary food and drinks on the day. All funds and proceeds generated at the event will be contributed towards the construction of a playground at a local park that we are currently working on with the support of the Auckland Council, the Otahuhu Business Association and our NZMA Trades Campus.

Our Auckland South Campus has always focused on providing our community with the best educational opportunities possible, as well as providing second chances to those who are looking to turn over a new leaf in life. We are hoping as a means of giving back to our communities and motivating our students will be a sufficient incentive for you to be with us.

Our goal is to bring people from South Auckland together to give them inspiration about what education can do to change their lives for the better. We believe your presence will be beneficial to all our students and to like-minded individuals who attend the event.

Thank you for taking the time to read our invitation, and I very much look forward to hearing from you soon.
